Secure Haven’s latest COVID-19 update:
Here at Secure Haven, we are extremely aware of families’ concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic and the impending effects. As ever, we will always be transparent and honest in our approach to providing information regarding funeral services.
As many of you are aware, the Government has announced its intentions to ease COVID-19 restrictions across England from Monday 19th July. We would like to take this opportunity to explain how this affects funerals in general, as well as our funeral home.
We are pleased that for many, this is a milestone moment where we, as funeral directors, can provide families with more flexibility and options to say goodbye or remember their loved ones.
The team understand that many people have anxieties around these restrictions lifting, so we have decided to continue to wear our face masks, use perspex screens and encourage hand sanitising. We will kindly request that visitors also use face coverings, unless they are exempt.
The easing of restrictions means that, from Monday, there are no legal limits on the number of people who can attend funerals or commemorative events, however venues can set their own limits if they wish to.
We know that families will want to know specific rules for our local crematoriums, so we will be posting this as we receive updates.
If you are unable to visit in person to arrange a funeral, due to isolation, we can accommodate face-to-face arrangements via Facetime or WhatsApp. Modern technology will help to keep our services personal wherever possible.
