The Arena Biodegradable Urn is a new addition to our range, that allows for the dignified and ceremonial laying to rest of a loved one’s ashes. The urn is made of ceramic and organic fibres, making it 100% biodegradable without any negative impact on the environment. It is incredibly versatile as the ashes can be laid to rest in the ground or in water, and the urn will not begin to degrade until introduced to the soil or water. Dimensions – 24.5cm high, 18cm diameter, 2kg weight, 4 litre capacity.

Coated in a tactile limestone sand finish
Dissolves in water within 20 minutes
Degrades in soil in 1 to 2 weeks, dependant on the soil type and humidity
Suitable for home or columbaria use, will not degrade unless in soil or water
Simply seal by dampening the edge of the lid to bond the two pieces together
Water-soluble and biodegradable bag to hold the ashes inside

How to use the Arena Biodegradable Urn:

Earth Burial:

Take the water-soluble bag out of the urn.
Cut the strap and keep it to close the bag.
Place the open bag inside the urn and carefully place the ashes inside.
Close the bag with the strap.
Seal the urn by lightly wetting the ridge of the lid and placing it on the urn, this will form a bond within a few minutes.
Place the urn into the ground, cover with soil and compress, making it level with the ground and then water lightly.

Water Burial:

Follow steps 1 to 5 above.
Slowly lower the urn into the desired area of water.
The Arena Biodegradable Urn will dissolve and the ashes will disperse within 20 minutes, although temperature, water mineral components and other factors could increase or decrease this time.
